The Tuesday club has started up and I’ve been on a trip up north as well as brought the camera out bit more.

June, 2022
A good month for capturing new species. I went on two boat exceusrions into the Stockholm archipelago and a family trip to Tuscany, Italy. The latter was a holiday, so I did not bring the serious camera gear, meaning the bird photos suffered. Sadly, I dd not get a shot of the Eurasian Scops Owl (Dvärguv), but we heard it every night.
March, 2022
The sunniest March ever with minimal rain/snow and with Spring approaching. An increasing number of larger migratory birds, but the smaller ones have mostly avoided my camera this far.
February, 2022
Another pretty miserable month but with a good number of days with fair weather.
October, 2021
Many migratory birds have now left the country, but some are still on the move. We’ve had the occassional frost night, but also a number of beatiful fall days. I managed to join two of the Tuesday club outings, but now that’s closed down for the season.
First half of August, 2021
A quiet month this far – awaiting a trip to Österlen in the south of Sweden.
June, 2021
After that drab May, June has been very warm for Sweden. Often too hot for both me and the birds. With 35% of adult Swedes now vaccinated and the virus retreating, I hope the bird hikes will soon pick up again.
April, 2021
Wish I could say Spring was here for real, but there has been night frost, low temperatures and northern winds lately. That said, the early migratory birds are showing up and the blackbirds and robins are singing.
March, 2021
A wintery start of March turned into a Spring (almost), at least occasionally. I have seen he first returning and northward bound birds.
May 2020 – Småland; Österlen and; Gusum
A road trip took us southward for a week in Brantevik, Österlen with short visits in Alvesta and Gusum. We kept our social distancing, except for the birds of course.
