Another trip down to fair Österlen via Alvesta. Spring is still late, but a number of late migrants started to arrive on the last days.
A quiet month this far – awaiting a trip to Österlen in the south of Sweden.
This post is dominated by our trip to island of Gotland, southeast of Stockholm. I’m not happy about the quality of the photos in general, blaming the often long distance, the hot weather (heat haze) and strong sun. I shoulld of course have been out early or late instead of mid day. That said, six new X’s was nice to achieve.
A good month for waders as they are on the move south. I got two new birds on photo (Water rail and Common greenshank), and one first captured in Sweden (Great egret).
