My May bird photos, with exception of the “Skåne de luxe” trip. Except home grounds in Bromma and Färingsö, I visited Blidö, and the Österlen area (mainly Brantevik).

Fall, 2025
Long time no see. Been a slow Fall this year, no Winter weather, just overcast and moist. No specific bird spotting trips, etcetera. A few pretty unisnpiring images shot however.
August (until September 5), 2025
This month included a shorter trip to lake Yxningen for a crayfish party and two weeks in Österlen in the south of Sweden. I will have to apologize for the quality of some pictures as I had the camera on people identification after I photographed the soccer team of one of the grandkids. Changed it to bird id as soon as I noticed, but e.g. the Common shelduck, Wood sandpipers, Sparrow hawk and Western marsh harrier didn’t turn out as expected.
July, 2025
The main event this month was a two week trip to the island of Gotland. The weather was by far the warmest and sunniest this summer, make bird excursions a drag.
March, 2025
With the relocation finalised and with Spring arriving with the early migratory birds, at last a bit more time for birding.
June (the remainder), 2024
Mainly spent time at our daughter’s and son-in-law’s cottages in Färentuna and by lake Yxningen thís period.
March, 2024
Spring is slowly advancing and the first batch of migratory birds have arrived.
February, 2024
A bit early post this month, but I doubt I will have time for more during the last week.
December & January, 2023-24
A cold and dark period with lots of snow and ice. It has not encouraged bird photography in general. Also, my computer died after a period of riduclously bad performance, making it enervating to edit photos. But now, with a new modern computer equipped to handle this, I’m good to go again.
November, 2023
Things are slow this time of year. A few courageous species will be fighting the winter instead of migrating. And this was another month rich in precipation, the last couple of days in the form of snow.
