The main event this month was a two week trip to the island of Gotland. The weather was by far the warmest and sunniest this summer, make bird excursions a drag.

Spent two weeks in Brantevik and visited numerous surroundings for walks and bird sights.

Favorit i repris, en fågelexkursion i Skåne i slutet av maj. Det blev en härlig tripp med många identifierade arter (drygt 130) och fem nya bildkryss till min samling. Som vanligt blev detingen bild på Sommargyllingen, men vi hörde den igen.
May, 2024, the first half
An early May update as I’m going on a birding trip. May has treated us well with the last eight days on +20 C and ony a single night with frost.

Spring is slowly advancing and the first batch of migratory birds have arrived.

A month that started out windy with a trip to the island of Gotland. Continued relatively cool with a stay at Färingsö and ended with heavy rains.

July has been cooler than last year and we spent a couple of weeks at the island of Gotland and visited some new places.

Another trip down to fair Österlen via Alvesta. Spring is still late, but a number of late migrants started to arrive on the last days.
