There is a new global standard (AviList) and I have tried to update the names of bird throughout this site to adhere to it. Among others:

• American Green-winged Teal (Amerikansk kricka, Anas carolinensis) is merged with Green-winged Teal (Kricka, Anas crecca)
• Hooded crow (Gråkråka, Corvus cornix) is merged with Western Carrion Crow (Svartkråka, Corvus corone). The merged species is named  Carrion Crow (kråka, Corvus corone). As I have photographed both of them, I specied the subspecies where relevant.
• In connection with the Yellow Wagtail being split into two speciies, the eastern species gets the name Eastern Yellow Wagtail (Beringärla).
• Changes in orders, family and scientific names, e.g. for the Goshawk (Duvhök).
